One of the best place I have ever been to. Such an amazing atmosphere, delicious food and really friendly and helpful staff. I am looking forward to come back!
Came for afternoon tea with my family. Lady who seated us nice and friendly. Some confusion about what drinks the children could have with an afternoon tea. One drink and table water forgotten by staff but they were apologetic when reminded and rectified straight away. Food disappointing as soup was supposed to be autumn spice but has so much chilli in it was painful and even after I asked for cream to cool it down the children couldn't eat it. The scones and cakes were dry and hard to swallow. I did speak to the person in charge who was very kind and apologetic and gave us a discount which was unexpected but welcomed. There is a lot of potential for the place if the kinks can be worked out.
Great day out for the family. Foodie festival with a wide choice stalls and styles. Great shop and cafe. There was also a classic car display which was a surprise. The walks through the park have magnificent views. Worth a visit.
One of my top 5 days out which i would recommend. This gem is based in East Lothian and has something for everyone to enjoy. The wooded fairy walk with stories at every tree and fairies to find is a magical experience for any child. Open space for enjoying the outdoors and every time I have visited, there have been deer spotted grazing in the field. Good cafe and gift shop for browsing through. Highly recommend.
I love this kind of place - fancy kitchenware and a restaurant, it's like a garden centre without the garden stuff - so it's good to have in this area. The facilities are great with lots to do and baby changing for families. I do think that they could vary the menu a bit more, that service is slow even when the restaurant isn't busy and that the food tends to look better on the menu than it tastes. I still go regularly though!
