Called in for lunch today,two couples who came in after us were served before us.We had to ask for menus.On receiving our main courses my wife returned her fish which tasted very odd.Her meal was replaced as I would have expected.We waited an enormous amount of time to order our sweet and then the waitress forgot to put it through to the chef.Not good enough and the staff standing chatting when service is required is shocking.The bill was reduced as compensation.My first and last visit.North Berwick has many eating places and you need to up your game or you will lose custom!
We stayed two nights to enjoy a birthday lunch at the hotel. The room was excellent: a good size with a large, comfortable bed that had crisp linen and pretty soft furnishings. All the staff were friendly, courteous and really helpful which made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. All the food we ate was delicious and well prepared and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.
Lovely family run hotel with friendly staff. Our room was large nicely decorated and comfortable. The food is excellent! Very nice vegetarian options!
